Yarmouk University/Faculty of Mass Communication announces the opening of applications for the “Sherine Abu Aqleh” scholarship to study a master’s degree in mass communication for the second semester 2022/2023 according to the following conditions:

a. Scholarship information:

1. The scholarship is offered once a year for study in the second semester.
2. The scholarship covers the admission and registration fees and credit hour fees except for remedial courses and repeated courses.
3. This scholarship is open to all nationalities.
4. The scholarship recipient is accepted in the course of the thesis, and it is stipulated that the subject of the master’s thesis be in Palestinian media issues or that it highlights the effects of the occupation and the suffering of the Palestinian people on the political, economic, social, health and cultural fields.

B. Scholarship Conditions:

1. Not receiving a scholarship from any other entity.
2. meeting the admission requirements for the program in force at the university.
3. submitting evidence of success in the TOEFL or IELTS exam, as approved in the university's graduate programs.
4. having practical experience in the media field.
5. passing the personal interview.
6. submitting two letters of recommendation from media or academic institutions, research centers or institutes with legal personality.
7. writing an article for the grant showing the reason for his desire to obtain it and how this grant will reflect on his role in highlighting the Palestinian cause.

Required documents:

The application shall be submitted electronically only, accompanied by a zip file containing:

1. A copy of the transcript (high school, bachelor's)
2. A copy of the university transcript of the bachelor's degree.
3. A proof of identity/a copy of a civil status identity card for Jordanians, and a copy of a valid passport for non-Jordanians.
4. A copy of what proves his success in the TOEFL or IELTS exam, as approved in the university's graduate programs.
5. A medical report for people with special needs (visual disability, hearing disability, brain disability approved by the Medical Committee at Yarmouk University) according to the Higher Education Council decision No. (1712/1/10).
6. Certificate of practical experience in the media field.
7. Two letters of recommendation.
8. Essay on the reason for the desire of having the scholarship.

Any application that does not meet all the documents, or is submitted after the expiry of the advertisement period will not be considered.
