The Jordanian team of Information Technology won the first place in the Huawei Regional Competition for Information and Communication Technology 2022 in its sixth edition, which took place in the Omani capital, Muscat. The team included Dr. Ahmed Kulaib, the director of the Center for E-Learning and Open Education Resources at Yarmouk University, and the students Yazan Al-Shanik from the Department of Cybersecurity in the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science at Yarmouk, and Aws Al-Rayyan and Hamza Al-Zubaidi from Princess Sumaya University. This team surpassed 19300 male and female students from 472 universities from 11 countries in the Middle East and Asia, namely Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, the Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Kazakhstan.
