Discussing ways to enhance scientific and academic cooperation, the President of Yarmouk University, Professor Islam Massad, met with a delegation from the University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP), which included the Vice President for Forseight and Strategic Planning, Dr. Haifizan Binti Mat Som, the Vice President for Branding, Communication and Corporate Diplomacy, Ms. Suhaila Binti Hj Mukhtar, the Director of the Arabic Language Center “Al Bayt Arabiy”, Professor Ahmad Fared Bin Mohd Din, and the Coordinator of Relations with Arab Universities, Professor Kamel Agrebi.

Massad said that the academic and scientific cooperation between Yarmouk University and UCYP is one of the most important, successful cooperation programs for Yarmouk, indicating that the University annually receives many Malaysian students interested in the various majors and disciplines offered by the University, especially the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic studies and the Arabic language. He then praised the distinction of Malaysian students studying at Yarmouk acknowledging their commitment to the regulations and instructions of the University. He also expressed the University's pride in having 63 male and female students from UCYP studying their bachelor degree in economics and Islamic banking, stressing the University's readiness to offer a set of academic sessions and training courses specialized in teaching the Arabic language and Islamic law for Malaysian students. He then called for the expansion of cooperation frameworks between the two sides.

In return, the members of the delegation appreciated the services provided by Yarmouk to its Malaysian students, emphasizing the prestigious scientific reputation of Yarmouk at the regional level and its distinction in offering many disciplines such as Sharia and Islamic studies, which encourages UCYP to send more students to complete their studies at Yarmouk.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Presidents of the University, Dr. Muwaffaq Alomoush, Dr. Riad Almomani, the Deans of the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the Director of the Language Center, the holder of the Pahang Chair for Islamic Studies, and the Director of Public Relations and Media.
